Sikles Tara Top Trekking

Difficulty:

Easy to moderate trekking to altitudes between 2000m/6500 ft and 3500m/11500 ft. Grade 2 tours involve some longer walks. Some previous hill-walking experience is desirable. They may best be described as mild. Up to 6.5 hours / 15 miles per day.

This fabulous Siklish Tara Top trek takes you off the beaten path and through the Gurung Villages of Ghalelgoung and Parje, giving an awesome cultural treat. Tara Hill Top at 3056m provides breathtaking, up-close views of the entire Annapurna Range. The ridge above the village of Sikles affords marvelous scenery of the Eastern Annapurnas. We trek through the friendly villages, terraced fields, alpine pastures and rhododendron forests to Parje Village. This trek will offer a rare walk through shady forest of rhododendron- hung heavy with lichen and moss, wild flowers and orchids flowering on the branches.

Day 01 - Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Alt. 1,350m. / 4,428 ft.
Day 02 - Half day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. Rest of the day preparation for the trek.
Day 03 - Drive to Pokhara by bus. Overnight at Pokhara Alt. 820m. / 2,690 ft. (6 hrs.)
Day 04 - Drive to Bhurjungkhola and then trek to Ghalelgaun 1,940m / 6,363ft. (5 hrs)
Day 05 - Trek to Tara Hill Top Alt. 3056m./10,023ft. (6 hrs).
Day 06 - Trek to Parje Village Alt. 1940./6,363ft. (5 hrs).
Day 07 - Trek to Lamakhet Alt. 980/3,214ft. (5.5 hrs).
Day 08 - Trek back to Pokhara Alt. 820 / 2,689ft. (4hrs).

Cost Includes:

 

  • International & domestic airport transfers as per the itinerary
  • 2 nights hotel accommodation on twin sharing basis with breakfast in Kathmandu
  • Internal transport and flight within Nepal as per the itinerary
  • 3 meals a day while trekking (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) as indicated by the itinerary
  • Accommodation while trekking in two person tents or local lodges/ guesthouses
  • All trekking and climbing related permit & fees.
  • English speaking, well trained and experience guides facility.

Cost Excludes:

 

  • International air fare to/ from Nepal
  • Lunch and dinner prior to the trek, please allow US$ 20 per day
  • Meals at airports and whilst in Kathmandu/ Pokhara - allow $20 per day
  • Entry Visa fees - at present $25 for 15 day & US$ 40 for 30 day visa on entry in Nepal
  • Insurance which covers, medical, emergency evacuation, lost, theft expenses
  • Drinks both alcoholic and bottled other then sterilized drinking water.
  • Laundry fee.
  • All the foods and beverages other then the itinerary. 
  • Personal gears and expenses
  • Tips and gratitude provided to staffs.
