Our destination, Makalu Base Camp (5,000m), brings us to one of the most remote and unfrequented areas in Nepal. Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu.  Transfer to hotel.(1,350m)
Day 2: Fly to Tumlingtar (1 hour) Drive to Num (1,600m, 6 hours)
Day 3: Trek to Seduwa (1,650m, 5 hours)
Day 4: Trek to Tashi Gaun (2,200m, 4 ½ hours)
Day 5: Trek to Kauma Danda (3,500m, 6 ½ hours)
Day 6: Trek over Keke La Pass (4,200m) and Tutu La Pass (4,200m) then descend to Dobato (3,610m, 7 hours)
Day 7: Trek to Yangre Kharka (3,520m, 6 ½ hours)
Day 8: Trek to Jark Kharka (4,360m, 5 ½ hours)
Day 9: Trek to Makalu Base Camp (5,000m, 4 hours)
Day 10: Exploration day
Day 11: Trek to Yangre Kharka (3,520m, 6 hours)
Day 12: Trek to Dobato (3,610m, 6 hours)
Day 13: Trek to Kauma Danda (3,500m, 5 hours)
Day 14: Trek to Seduwa (1,650m, 7 ½ hours)
Day 15: Trek to Num (1,600m, 5 hours)
Day 16: Trek to Tumlingtar (937m, 6 hours)
Day 17: Flight back to Kathmandu (1hour, 1,350m)

  • International & domestic airport transfers as per the itinerary.
  • Internal transport and flight within Nepal as per the itinerary.
  • 3 meals a day while trekking (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) as indicated by the itinerary.
  • Accommodation while trekking in twin sharing basis tents or local lodges / guesthouses.
  • All trekking and climbing related permit & fees.

Cost Excludes

  • International air fare to/ from Nepal.
  • Lunch and dinner prior to the trek, please allow US$ 20 per day.
  • Meals at airports and whilst in Kathmandu/ Pokhara - allow per day.
  • Entry Visa fees - at present for 15 day, US$ 40 for 30 day, and US$ 100 for three month visa on entry into Nepal.
  • Insurance which covers, medical, emergency evacuation, lost, theft expenses.
  • Drinks: both alcoholic and bottled other than sterilized drinking water.
  • Laundry fees.
  • All foods and beverages other than on the itinerary. 
  • Personal gear and expenses.
  • Tips and gratitude provided to staff.
