Tibet tour is an utterly amazing week of high altitude overland travel from Nepal to Tibet. The 900 km journey between Kathmandu and Lhasa is rightly considered to be an incredible Trans-Himalayan adventure – a more dramatic journey between two ancient culture and climes is simply impossible to imagine.
But the rugged living and travelling conditions over the Himalayan roof will discourage all but truly adventurous. Those considering this short but epic journey will need to know that meals are seldom better than basic, accommodation and facilities are humble at best, and that road condition and the five great mountain passes make for slow and jolting Land-cruiser progress.
The major highlights of this incredible overland adventure includes visit to Everest Base Camp from Tibet side, driving through expansive landscape of Tibet full of lakes, passes and glaciers and exploration of Lhasa, the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region.
