Chitwan lies on the plain at the foot of the Himalayan foothills known as the Terai. The park occupies nine hundred square kilometres of virgin jungle forest that separates Nepal from the Indian border. It is inhabited by the Bengal Tiger (only sometimes seen), the rare Asian Rhino, the ferocious sloth bear, a number of species of deer, the “Mugger” and rare “Gharial” crocodiles, and a myriad of beautiful birds and other wildlife not to mention the flora.
Chitwan is sold as 3 days 2 nights or 4 days 3 nights program inclusive of all activities, accommodation and ground transfers on tourist bus. It is a great way to spend or fill a few warm relaxing days after your trek before you leave Nepal.
