With a height of 8,163m, Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world. It is located in the Mansiri Himal. The Manaslu region was not opened to trekking until 1992, but now it is accepted as one of the best trekking trails. This path leaves Gorkha and goes north, up the Budi Gandaki River and then turns west into a high Alpine valley containing villages typical of Tibet and a variety of fine monasteries. Challenging yet worth climbing to Larkya La Pass (5,212 m), it serves the stunning views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. You can then go into the Annapurna Circuit, staying to the south of the Marsyangdi River in Dharapani. The Manaslu Circuit treks can be considered as a Himalayan journey with the elements of nature and culture to an extent, which might be the reason why the treks are chosen by those who do not want to miss any part of the Himalaya necessarily.
