Riepe Village is ‘The Village That Time Forgot’. . .
Located just off the Kathmandu-Pokhara highway, Riepe Village is a quiet village located on a terraced hillside above Marsyangdi River. It takes 5-6 hours drive from Kathmandu, or 3 hours 30 minutes from Pokhara to reach Riepe Village.
This self-sufficient village largely depends on farming for their survival. Of late the community has started promoting homestay tourism to attract tourists to the village and generate extra income, especially for women and youth. Major farm-based activities here include ploughing, planting, irrigating, cropping, winnowing and milling, animal husbandry, bee hives and coffee plantation. You can also enjoy Yoga & Meditation, Mountain biking and Paragliding and go for short hikes around surrounding hills. The views of mountains from here are utterly spectacular.
