Shivapuri Day Hike

Day hiking in Shivapuri is a popular outdoor activity for anyone who wants to get away from the noise and pollution of Kathmandu and refresh and purify one’s soul. Located just a 30 minute ride from Kathmandu, Shivapuri is the gateway to Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, Nepal’s newest protected area. Hikers can enjoy the twitter and chirping of colorful birds, ripples of streams, solitude of peaceful forest and sightings of wildlife and view of snowy mountains.

Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is situated on the northern fringe of Kathmandu valley.

9:00 AM: Meet at our office and then drive to Budhanilkantha (45 minutes)
9:45 AM: Hike to Shivapuri Top and exit to Sundarijal(6 – 7 hours)
5:00 PM: Drive back to Kathmandu (1 hour)
