Gobardhan Basnet

Gobardhan, or more commonly known as Gobs, is one of the two founders of Trek Nepal Int’l. Having worked for five years as a guide himself, Gobs saw a need for a locally owned and operated trekking company that would bring international standards to Nepal’s trekking sector. He and his partner, Resham Bal, started Trek Nepal Int’l 12 years ago, with nearly 42 years of accumulated experience between them, success was the only option. Operating a simple but extremely smart business model, Trek Nepal Int’l has grown significantly every year. Gobs’ desire is to ensure that Trek Nepal Int’l maintains its high quality of services and stays true to its mission of promoting socially and environmentally sound projects. When Gobs is not busy with Trek Nepal, he can be found practicing Vipassana mediation, which he encourages others to try.
