Why choose Trek Nepal?

100% Nepali owned and operated

Coming to Nepal is a dream for many people. To wander the highest mountains in the world, meet Buddhist monks, raft the deepest gorge – these are the things legends are made of. Adventure and spirituality mix seamlessly in this ancient landscape. At Trek Nepal, we have been showing people the real Nepal for nearly 25 years. Choose from over 30 trip itineraries, or let us tailor-make something just for you. This is our country, and we have six reasons why you should see it with us.

Trek Nepal is 100% Nepali owned and operated

The best way to see Nepal is with the locals. Whether shopping for Tibetan trinkets, walking over snowy mountain passes, or eating momos down an alleyway, we can show you a Nepal that you won’t find in books. Our guides were born in these mountains and would love to share it with you. Booking with a local company also makes sure that your money stays in Nepal, with the locals, where it should be.

Sustainable and eco-friendly tours

Mountains are beautiful but fragile places. They are home to precious nature and age-old rich culture. We are honoured to share these treasures with you. We trek responsibly, without disturbing the environment or the culture. We also have special tours that allow you to put back into the local community – you can find these in our Community Treks section (Hike and Help).

Fair price with no hidden costs

A lot of people think that they can save money by trekking independently. But lodges, food and other expenses in the mountains can add up. Cut out the middleman by booking direct with us. We get the best rates with local knowledge and connection and pass on the group savings to you. Our trek itineraries are fixed price, with no extras on the trail.

Your safety and enjoyment is our priority

Trek Nepal puts your safety and enjoyment first. Our guides know how to maximise your fun and immerse you in the local culture, while keeping you safe. Our guides are all trained in First Aid and CPR and Wilderness First Aid. They know the local conditions and can avoid potential situations, so you can fully enjoy your activities.

Qualified male/female guides

At Trek Nepal, we know that your experience is linked to how good the guide is. We train our guides well and treat them like family. By taking care of them we know that they will take care of you. Many have been guiding for more than a decade. All our guides hold government license and speak Nepali & English and often other languages too – like Tibetan or Sherpa. We recruit our guides mainly from the mountain villages. On our team are many female guides, as we believe they are some of the best.
